Sri is a highly respected spiritual spokesperson for world peace. His discourses are recognized and honored by the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tu Tu, the late Mother Teresa, the great Mikail Gorbachev, and numerous other religious and political figures throughout the world. Dozens of athletes (including Muhammed Ali and Carl Lewis) sing Sri's praises for excelling in athletics as a sprinter and decathlete. Musicians such as Mahavishnu John McLaughlin, Santana, Sting, Alap Jetzer, and Paul Horn have celebrated Chinmoy's discourses on music, meditation, and inner peace, and expressed admiration for his musicianship on dozens of flutes, stringed instruments and keyboards. Books include My Flute (poetry), Wings of Joy (spiritual teachings), The Source (on music), and a three-volume set of talks to University audiences in Australia, Canada, England, Japan, Sweden and other countries, entitled The Oneness of the Eastern Heart and the Western Mind.

GLENN GOULD
Classical pianist, brilliant performer of Bach and Beethoven's keyboard works (as well as dozens of 20th Century avant-garde compositions); anti-establishment individualist; a hardworking, almost monastic recluse who virtually lived in the recording studio; brilliant writer and speaker; often accused of being nothing more than "ego, ego, ego" (by those who apparently think Rubenstein was humble and Horowitz self-deprecating). Gould's selfless devotion to music, and his unparalled renditions of Bach's works place Gould high in the pantheon of immortal classical musicians. Few have served music as well as he.

(MAHAVISHNU) JOHN McLAUGHLIN
Perhaps the most technically accomplished and conceptually innovative guitarist/composer to emerge out of the Sixties and Seventies still creating, still contributing. Along the way has composed and performed major works in multiple genres, including rock, jazz-rock, classical-jazz-fusion, Indian, flamenco, and straight-ahead jazz. His many great recordings include Inner Mountain Flame, Apocalypse, Handful of Beauty, and Live at the Royal Festival Hall.

KEITH JARRETT
A multi-faceted pianist, equally accomplished in jazz ensembles, Bach's classics, and his own solo piano improvisations. Jarrett is a master of connecting with the interior musicstream setting aside thoughts, emptying himself of egoic considerations, opening himself to music's living pulse, listening with full presence, and letting the music play him, rather than vice-versa. Along with John McLaughlin, he is also one of music's most insightful and verbally articulate individuals. While his superb Köln Concert remains an ever-popular solo work, his other solo performances are equally magnificent improvisational journeys, including Vienna Concert, Paris Concert, La Scala, and Bremen/Lausanne. DAVID PARSONS
A New Zealander, world traveler, and multi-cultural composer immersed in Eastern musics, David Parsons is one of the most imaginative and profoundly moving electronic spacemusic synthesists of our time. HENRY WOLFF
With his wife, Nancy Hennings, Tibetan bell musician Henry Wolff epitomizes artistic excellence, worldcentric awareness, high intelligence, unswerving dedication to music, and profound creative imagination. His original Tibetan bell recording (Tibetan Bells, circa 1969) remains a classic, while the albums he has released during the past twenty years or so have continued to expand and evolve into some of the most colorful, unique, and intense spacemusic recordings of the past thirty years. Highly recommended: Yamantaka (with percussionist Mickey Hart) The Bells of Sh'ang Sh'ung (with synthesist Brian Keane), Tibetan Bells III: The Empty Mirror (also with Brian Keane) Complete series available at http://www.steveroach.com/store/store.php?artistID=118 Excellent discussions of each album at the Celestial Harmonies label site http://www.harmonies.com/discographies/wolff.htm
TIM BUCKLEY
Singer, songwriter, major musical conceptualizer of the Sixties and early Seventies; one of America's greatest voices and finest vocal improvisers; moved through five different conceptual/stylistic periods over the course of nine albums; never attained significant commercial success, but created songs and albums that many listeners appreciate to this day.
